This past Saturday I stepped out of my hermit-like shell and ventured down to the park just over the hill from our house. It's pretty basic, a few swings and some climbing bars, but it's a cute little area for young kids and pretty clean. Also it's right next door to a church and a gated community so there is a security guard there all the time just to ease my paranoia.
It was Ka'ihi's first time on a swing (poor deprived child) and he was into it for about 30 seconds and then tried to launch himself out of there. I only had my phone but I took a few quick videos and then, through the magic of imovie created this little gem. Hooray for blogs! I have now documented his first swing and have the story behind it, so when he's 15 and totally not interested I can show him and remind myself how precious and perfect he is.
I know I wish I had a video of me in a swing when I was young so that I could show you how perfect I am too!
ReplyDeleteYes, I would've videotaped you doing all kinds of PRECIOUS things; but to rent the video camera from Longs in those days was $20/day and it was so HUGE to lug around!! (Do you remember?) I'm lucky I even got May Days! (sigh) But yes, you were preciously perfect, just like Ka'ihi. :)
