I have been so excited for Ka'ihi's birthday. I don't know why, but I was kind of concentrating more on that than Christmas! The day before I couldn't stop talking about all the fun things he could do on his birthday, to try to get him to understand it was his special day. I even seriously though about waking him up at 12am to wish him a Happy Birthday! (Whew glad I didn't do that). But he did stir around 2am and both Kamuela and I whispered it to him.
I was even so excited that I skipped my class at the gym today. Now that's a special occasion!
We had such a great day. We decorated, had yummy food, an AWESOME Madagascar cake that my friend did, and played for HOURS with new toys and old friends. Ka'ihi missed his nap, he was so busy playing! He was so tired by the end of the day but boy was it worth it to see him so happy.
I love my little boy! He is definitely getting into the terrible twos though, this is a whole new test of my patience and to see how I'm going to react to situations. I have to constantly learn from others who I think do a great job teaching their children and try to be more like them! The village to raise a baby idea helps remind me that others have been through the same situations, and not to forget that we are not alone!!
I'm so glad my 'Ihi boy is a part of our family. He is the perfect son for us! Heavenly Father definitely didn't just choose him at random.
Happy Birthday my big boy!
