Christmas Day

I'm pretty sure I've mentioned before that Christmas is my most favourite time of year. It seems like everyone is generally a little more cheerful and kinder to each other and there's an excitement in the air that is contagious, and you can't help but smile! In New Zealand Christmas is like our version of a Thanksgiving celebration - we go ALL out with food!

We had ham, pork, chicken, roast AND steamed vegetables, green and kumara salads, fresh rolls, and soooo much more :)

my mum made these cute little biscuits (cookies) with melted white chocolate and lollies. They were so good!

For dessert we had apple pie, meringues, steamed pudding, ambrosia, ice cream, chocolate, fresh strawberries and blueberries - Oh My!

Here's my little munchkin getting ready to open presents that morning

After opening presents and eating, we sat and talked for almost 5 hours! It was so fun to hang out with my extended family who visited. We also watched Home Alone 1 and 2, old classics in our family :)

I LOVE CHRISTMAS!!
