As if the teeth issue wasn't enough, Ka'ihi now has infant Bronchitis. Poor baby.
He had a fever about a week ago, and now has a cold, with a pretty yucky cough. He's also started barfing, lost his appetite and isn't sleeping well.
Today we went to the doctor and he had a chest x-ray. The only two things stopping me from bawling at the sight of him in the little chair thing was knowing it was going to help him get better and not wanting him to get even more upset.
But it was sad.
I didn't have my camera and didn't want to make him sit in it any longer than he needed to, but I found a picture online of exactly what he looked like
except my baby had tears all the way down his tummy and the saddest look EVER.
He got lots of extra loves today. And some new medicine to try to help the healing process.
Get better soon my baby.

ReplyDeleteWhat kind of torture contraption is that?! I can't imagine watching your poor baby in that! So sad! A sick baby is no fun. Do you need anything?
ReplyDeleteAnd by the way, you are not a bad mama. How do you know if he swallows or keeps it in his mouth?My friend's son had like 9 cavities by the time he was two. I think some kids are just more susceptible to it.
I know right!? Poor babies having to sit in that thing. Pray your babies don't even need a chest xray!
ReplyDeleteWe're ok thanks, Ka'ihi is almost better, he just has a cough that's been hanging around, he's supposed to get his cavities fixed this Friday but with a cough he can't be sedated so the dentist has been postponed. I seriously did not ever think he would get cavities from breastfeeding during the night, now I'm trying to stop him eating at night, he'll sleep about 8 hours before I let him eat again. First time parents; where's the handbook??? lol
wow, i wish the hospital had THAT for baby lani! i know it looks awful, but my baby has had bronchitis practically since she was born, and every time they x-rayed her, 2 people had to restrain her while a third snapped the photo. the momma bear in me was infuriated that 2 strangers were touching my baby like that, and now i wish they had something like that chair so she could just sit tight in while they took her x-ray. luckily for ka'ihi he has an amazing mother to give him lots of love so he can quickly heal and forget all about being sick. you're the best, roxy!

You're so funny! i have no idea what kind of trees those are but I am obsessed with them they are so pretty! :) And in Brint's defense there is not enough space in our house in Hawaii to make cinnamon rolls.... it brings me much sadness! ha but maybe we'll get a big table and try making them when we get back. :)
